Vice President, Media Relations
A former print journalist at The Richmond Times-Dispatch and Inside Business, Sean joined The Hodges Partnership in 2003 and leads Hodges’ media relations team. He manages media relations strategy and helps place subject matter experts on CNN, FoxNews and MSNBC and more. Sean regularly helps place op-eds in top-tier papers like the New York Times, Washington Post and USA Today. He recently concluded a two-year project leading media relations efforts locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for Richmond 2015, the organizers of cycling’s world championships, and also managed strategy for the University of Richmond for seven years.
Sean is head baseball coach for Benedictine College Prep and co-founder/editor of CollegeBaseballInsider.com. He just wrapped up his term as board president of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond (DSAGR) and serves on the boards of the Salvation Army Central Virginia Area Command and Commonwealth Community Trust. He was honored by Style Weekly as one of Richmond’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2011. A graduate of the University of Richmond, Sean and his wife and three children live in Richmond’s Far West End.
