Breyana Stewart grew up thinking she’d be the next Oprah. Lucky for us, she didn’t. A 2024 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she majored in Broadcast Journalism (there’s that Oprah thing again) before switching to Mass Communications, Breyana has found her true calling in public relations, a profession that combines her talents for written and oral communication with a strong strategic sensibility. She is a self-acknowledged ambivert, as comfortable making client presentations as she is toiling away on social media editorial calendars or media outlet research. Her internship experience includes a semester here at Hodges and positions at Radio One, the Richmond International Film Festival and as a writer for The Commonwealth Times. A native of Chesapeake, Va., Breyana is a proud dog mom to 3-year-old Benedict, a miniature schnauzer, and lives her alternate life on Sims 4 as brejastew.
