Anderson’s journey toward a career in communications is unique. The former high school teacher and physicist started as an on-air personality in 2016 for WRIR 97.3 FM, a community radio station in Richmond. His passion for music and news drove him to pursue a graduate degree in media and communications at Norfolk State University. Since joining Hodges as an intern in 2020, Anderson has done media relations and social media writing for Venture Richmond, Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia Distillery Company, and Virginia Community College System. The Richmond native loves listening and making podcasts, venturing to concerts and festivals when there isn’t a pandemic, and taking walks downtown with his wife Toni and rat-cha Hazel.
