Hodges is hiring a digital strategist; are you looking for a new career?

If you looked for “digital strategist” jobs on LinkedIn this morning, you probably saw listings more than 16,000 positions across the country. Well, we’ve added one new job listing to that total as we look to expand our social media marketing and content marketing within our agency.

Here is the link to the job description with details on how to apply. That tells you everything you really need to know, but as the account director who is helping shape the digital direction at Hodges, here’s my humble pitch for you to become part of the team.

You will be joining a group that works hard, but plays hard.

First and foremost, our environment at Hodges is second to none. And I can say that because I’ve boomeranged. Twice. In our 20-year history, there has been very little turnover. Once folks come on board, they have a tendency to stay, learn and grow. Your comfort zone will be stretched in more ways than one, but with the folks our founders/partners Jon and Josh have gathered over time, we’ve created a culture that allows for questions to be asked and actions to be questioned. When we’re not grinding out 110 ads for a social media campaign for a client, we’re doing virtual shopping sprees, getting cupcake deliveries for baby showers and going to see the Squirrels play at The Diamond (all real Hodges perks).

You will continuously learn and grow as the field evolves.

When I started at Hodges 10 years ago, this job didn’t exist. We weren’t doing social media marketing. We weren’t working with and gaming the algorithms to our favor with our organic content. Platforms have monetized, algorithms have evolved and, on a daily basis, updates are rolled out and our job description seemingly gets a new bullet under it. If you like to stay current and on top of trends, then this is just the job for you. You will become part of a group of Hodgers at the agency who become versed in all things social and digital – which makes you a valuable subject matter expert at the table in new business and other agency conversations.

You can help us build on our social media successes

Since the inception of self-serve social media advertising, our team has been looking for ways to amplify our clients’ content in a variety of ways to help them reach their KPIs. We’ve taken a modest four-digit social media ad budget and generated a triple-digit return on investment. We’ve taken a list of ZIP codes and key messages and launched a hyper-nuanced localized campaign across Virginia, making concrete conversion connections down to the exact ad copy and creative. We’re looking for new perspectives, fresh ideas and expertise that will help us shape our work and take it to the next level. From Day One, we want to hear your ideas so we can improve our understanding, and ultimately, the work we deliver for our clients.

Are you sold? We hope so. We’re seeking applications through the end of January. If you’re interested, learn how to apply here.
