Five Questions with Sharif Ewees, 28 Media

It’s a great feeling coming to work every day knowing we get to work with partners that help make us, and our clients, better. One of those partners that helps expand our capabilities by creating platforms that help our work shine is 28 Media’s Sharif Ewees.

Sharif has worked on a variety of websites with us – from our own HodgesPart.com to client sites like Umgås Magazine, StudyECE and eCMMS | Foxconn Technology Group. If you haven’t met him, here’s a chance to get to know him better.

Who are you, where do you work and what do you do?

I’m Sharif Ewees, the owner and principal of 28 Media, a full-service web design and development agency.

What services/products does your organization provide?

We design, build and maintain websites for clients, in a broad range of industries, such as law firms, medical practices, tech agencies, non-profits, startups and others. We work with a deep bench of subcontractors to build the perfect project team for each client’s needs.

How long have you worked with or known The Hodges Partnership?

I believe our first project with THP was in 2015, but I’ve known many Hodges employees through professional organizations and board service for much longer.

What are some misconceptions about your industry and the work that you do?

Many people don’t appreciate the difference between a budget website theme or site builder, and a custom website. After years spent fighting with a poorly designed or hard-to-use website, many of our clients are surprised to discover how much more control they have over a website custom built for their organization’s needs.

What trends are you seeing in your industry?

The biggest trend I’m seeing right now is marketing automation. There is a variety of software that allows clients to analyze their marketing funnel, determine where their website visitors fit within that funnel, and dynamically change the content that each visitor sees based on that.
